Direct messages, groups and the department thread
Each thread has its own member list and nobody sees what is not theirs. The department thread is a permanent group living next to that department's notes, so the decision and the document that records it are one click apart. In practice it is the difference between sending the file over chat and saying it is in the folder, third note down.

Real time that degrades gracefully
Messages and notifications arrive over a persistent connection authenticated with a single-use ticket, not with the session pasted into the URL. If that connection drops, the application keeps working: the screen does not lock, nothing you were typing is lost, and reconnecting catches you up. Office networks go down; the work should not.

Notifications that arrive with the tab closed
Every device registers separately, so a phone and a computer each get their own without stepping on each other. When a device stops existing, the push service says so and the registration deletes itself, which is what avoids the ever-growing list of dead subscriptions. In the application there is a bell with a count and a button to mark everything read.

Voice notes that end up searchable
Record from the same composer. The audio is stored in the vault, a Markdown transcript is produced, it gets indexed and the graph updates. After that the voice note turns up in search like any other document, which is the point: what somebody said walking around a site stops getting lost.

Attachments, images and emoji in the same box
The composer is the same one you use to talk to a person and to talk to the agent: attach a file, paste an image, pick an emoji. And none of it consumes credit. Messages, groups, attachments and notifications are queries against your own database, so the team conversation never shows up on the AI invoice however much people talk.

What it does not do yet
There are no voice or video calls
Today the conversation is text, recorded audio and files. Calls are deliberately out of scope: we would rather not ship them before they work properly, because a meeting that cuts out halfway does more damage than a missing button. To meet, keep using the tool you already use.
What is worth doing: write into the department thread what was decided in that meeting, because there it gets indexed and the agent will find it next month.
