What Notion AI does better

Databases with views

Boards, calendars, timelines, relations between tables, formulas and rollups. It is the engine many teams run their entire operation on, and Ofivia has nothing like it: here there are notes, folders, links and a graph. If your company operates on Notion databases, moving that is a step backwards.

Writing together at the same time

Two people in the same document, with comments and mentions, watching each other’s cursor. Ofivia does not do it: if two people save over the same file, the last save wins. It is a scope decision, and it is still a disadvantage against Notion.

Ecosystem

Your files are files, not blocks

The limit Notion exports to Markdown too, so this is not one exporting and the other not. The difference is that in Ofivia the exportable format is the working format, so there is no translation step in which the databases, the comments or the structure get lost.

In Notion your documentation is a block structure inside Notion’s database, and the way out is an export. In Ofivia the source of truth is Markdown on disk, inside a folder only your company can read. The search index and the graph are views: delete them and they rebuild by reading the folder. It does not work the other way round, which is why what gets backed up and what you walk away with is the folder.

The permissions the AI sees are the org chart

The limit The agent’s real boundary today is its department mount, not a permission checked file by file on every write. That is a strong barrier and it is the one we describe, rather than the better-selling version.

Notion answers within what the person asking can see, page by page, and that is well built. Ofivia starts somewhere else: there is a department tree with two levels of authority, the company one and the branch one, and whoever administers a branch administers everything hanging off it. That tree is what decides which files each area’s agent mounts.

Notion bills per user per month with AI included, which is simple to budget and for many companies is the right answer. You need to share outward

Publishing a page by link for a client, or running a public wiki, does not exist in Ofivia. Everything lives inside the company.

You need mobile and desktop today

There is a web app and it works well on a phone, but there is no native app. If your team mostly works from a phone, wait.

Your buyer requires certifications

We have no SOC 2, no ISO 27001 and no external audit. If your client’s procurement team asks for that paperwork, we do not have it and we will not tell you it is in progress.

There is no org chart to enforce

If you are eight people and everybody sees everything, half of Ofivia’s value, which is permissions by department, does nothing for you.

Can I migrate my content from Notion to Ofivia?

Yes, with manual work involved. Notion exports to Markdown and that folder uploads as it is; indexing it consumes no credits, so you can upload the whole back catalog at no cost. What does not translate on its own are Notion’s internal links and the databases, which come out as tables or CSV and have to be rearranged. For a large workspace this is a project of days rather than an afternoon, and it is better said in advance.

Do you integrate with Notion?

No, and it is not planned. There is no connector, no sync and no one-click importer. Documents get into Ofivia because somebody uploads them or drags the exported folder in.

Can I use both at once?

Yes, and we expect that to be the case often: Notion for project tracking and the team wiki, Ofivia for documentation with per-department permissions and the agent that works inside it. There is no sync between the two, so it is worth deciding what lives where rather than duplicating.

Does Notion AI not already do what your agent does?

For asking about your workspace, largely yes, and it does it well. The concrete differences are three: your documents stay as Markdown in a folder you own rather than in proprietary blocks, the agent writes files inside the department folder rather than text on the page, and you can see what each process cost in dollars.

Which one is cheaper?

It depends on how many people and how much use. Notion charges per seat, so your invoice grows with every person who joins, even if they barely touch the AI. Ofivia charges a plan plus usage: Basic is US$80 a month with 40,000 credits shared across the whole company, and people who only read, search and talk spend no credit. What if I want to leave Ofivia in a year?

You take the folder and a database dump, and you lose nothing, because the working format was already standard Markdown. It is not a contractual promise, it is a consequence of how it is built: you can see it on the vault page.
